Account Manager - Cyprus


Scope of Position

The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for selling the companies software and services into a defined territory.  The primary focus is delivering revenue growth in existing accounts but the candidate may also be required to generate revenue from new logo’s. 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Achieve the financial and operational targets set for his/her territory.
  2. Define, own and implement a sales strategy plan for each account. Leverage all departments eg, marketing, support and consulting to aid growth and promote Spectec’s strategic value to the customer.
  3. The AM must establish strong long term relationships with C level stakeholders and promote the interests of SpecTec.  Maintain a deep knowledge of the customers’ business, future priorities and business goals. Also act as the customers advocate within SpecTec.
  4. Initiate and drive sales campaigns to facilitate revenue growth in their territory or vertical market.
  5. When consultancy is required, AM must engage the Operations BU in order to obtain the necessary technical advice or specifications, including the estimated time and internal costs of quotations.
  6. Own and manage the commercial terms between the customer and SpecTec.
  7. Provide full data analysis and records of sales activities and opportunities within the CRM system.
  8. Maintain accurate forecast data and take an active role in internal business forecasting procedures.
  9. Work closely with Operations and Customer Support in assisting with resolution of any issues or specific needs affecting his/her accounts.
  10. Take part in account, management and global sales meetings as directed.
  11. Compliance with all internal policies and operational procedures.

Authorization and Recommendation Levels

As per approved “Authorization Level Matrix”.
Communications & Relationships
  • Communicates with the VP of Sales on non-conformities in procedures and policies within her/his territory, and making all possible efforts to prevent conflicts and promote effective relationships;
  • Communicates with Operations Manager and Customer Support all and any issues relevant to regular and efficient cooperation with their departments.
  • Work very effectively in a team environment, having respect and a participate approach when dealing with other team members.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Demonstrable track record in exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience is winning software solution projects >$250,000
  • Track record in achieving year on year growth within accounts through up and cross selling initiatives
  • Capability to develop an excellent knowledge of SpecTec products and professional services
  • Knowledge of the SpecTec’s market is desirable; Maritime, Defence and Oil & Gas
  • Good knowledge of IT industry standards, and general trends in the hardware and software industry
  • ‘Can do’ attitude, driven tenacious self-starter
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluency in other languages is an advantage.
